The March MEPCIS Meeting was held at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pa. A hot dinner of baked ziti, chicken marsala, vegetables and salad was consumed during the social hour.
 
Roy Urspruch, Philips CT Product Specialist, conducted a detailed presentation on CT Dose reduction and Advanced CT Technology. The Philips CT iDose iterative reconstruction technique is designed to provide full dose images at a fraction of the dose.

Throughout the presentation a lively question and answer dialogue took place. Roy Urspruch, Kevin Carpenter, Sheila LaFalce, Bill Brennan and Joseph Lawler from Philips Healthcare all took part in the conversation with Biomedical Engineers, Physicists, CT Operators and other Healthcare Professionals.
 
Present were members from St Luke’s Hospital, Reading Hospital, Grandview Hospital, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Lehigh Valley Radiology, Penn Biomedical Support, Biomed Associates, Advanced Rad Center, Pocono Medical Center Health System, Community Medical Center in Scranton, Trisonics and Philips Healthcare.
 
The wide cross section of healthcare professionals in attendance all have patient care and safety as a goal and are invited to attend future MEPCIS Meetings and forums.
